The Maasai Mara and the Serengeti share the same ecosystem, divided only by a political border. The Maasai people straddle both countries. The wildebeest certainly do not stop at customs. A combined Kenya and Tanzania safari follows the logic of the land itself, north and south, following rainfall and wildlife movement across one of the greatest wildlife corridors on earth.
Skynile Adventures has built combined East Africa safari packages that work geographically and logistically. A typical 10 to 14-day itinerary moves from Nairobi south through Amboseli and into Tanzania’s northern circuit, covering Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro before returning north or ending in Zanzibar. Alternatively, start in Tanzania and work north into Kenya, finishing at the Maasai Mara or the coast.
