Diani’s family-friendly wildlife sanctuary of giraffes, zebras, and coastal forest

Bora Bora

Set in a swathe of coastal forest just inland from Diani Beach, Bora Bora Wildlife Park is a private sanctuary where you can walk among free-roaming giraffes, zebras, ostriches and antelope — one of the South Coast’s most loved family outings.

About Bora Bora Wildlife Park

Bora Bora Wildlife Park is a privately run conservation park tucked into the coastal forest, a short drive inland from Diani Beach. Opened as a family attraction and community-conservation project, it has become one of the most popular things to do on Kenya’s South Coast, especially for travelers with children, cruise passengers on a Mombasa stopover, and Diani guests looking for an easy, low-cost wildlife experience without a long safari drive. The park is home to a growing collection of East African wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, ostriches, various antelope species, tortoises, monkeys, warthogs, guinea fowl, and a small selection of birds of prey. Most animals roam freely across landscaped bush and lawn, so guests walk (rather than drive) through the enclosures accompanied by a resident guide. Feeding sessions, especially the giraffe hand-feeding, are the undisputed highlight for kids and photographers alike. Because the park is small and walkable, it works beautifully as a 2–3 hour excursion: enough time to meet every animal, take photos, ask the guides questions, and grab a cold drink at the on-site café. Shaded pathways, benches, and clean facilities make it easy for grandparents and young children. The park also runs school programs and supports local conservation education, so a visit directly funds community outreach.
